3 v 1 2 7 D ec 1 99 6 Noise - enhanced reconstruction of attractors
نویسنده
چکیده
In principle, the state space of a chaotic attractor can be partially or wholly reconstructed from interspike intervals recorded from experiment. Under certain conditions, the quality of a partial reconstruction, as measured by the spike train prediction error, can be increased by adding noise to the spike creation process. This phenomenon for chaotic systems is an analogue of stochastic resonance. Typeset using REVTEX

We investigated the effect of noise on propagation of two interacting particles pairs in a quasi one–dimensional random potential. It is shown that pair diffusion is strongly enhanced by short range interaction comparing with the non–interacting case.

Some of the motivations for quark and lepton compositeness, and some problems associated with present schemes, are noted. One model is discussed in which quarks and leptons are taken as composites of spin-1/2 fermions F with charges ±1/2 and spinless bosons S̄ with charges 1/6 and −1/2.
